Insydeflash cannot download the driver dell alienware m17x r3

Not only did that fix my issues but 1 article you linked after reading Ive found fixes for other issues I was having previously with the laptop. Ive since been trying to use the newly found information to get it back on Windows So far the only help may end up being getting ahold of one of the dell disks that ran out of stock awhile back as no other process seems to allow it to work.

Regardless even if its stuck with windows 7 that allows me to still get stuff done and most of all keep a very sentimental machine, for that I am extremely greatful! I wish you the best of luck in everything! You are a master. I owe you big time! Not sure if I should keep moving with the other updates or try to reinstall that one. Both that are for 64bit one says Server R2.

I'm assuming that is not the correct one since it says server. That's the progress as of now. Have a bad feeling I will be stuck with going through the waiting.

Ive always had bad luck with the antivirus updates for some reason. Ignore Windows Update for the moment. After you install that large update and then Update 3 I listed, tell Windows Update to check for updates again. Your list should be a lot shorter. Allmightyballs as an alternative to my suggestion above if you really don't have access to another PC to download drivers and copy them onto a flash drive to bring them to your rebuilt system, if that system came with Windows 7 from the factory and that resource CD you have contains drivers, there's absolutely nothing wrong with installing drivers from there.

They will certainly be very outdated by now so you'd want to update them later, but they'll at least get you going. And absolute worst case if it does somehow mess up Windows, which again is hugely unlikely if the system came with Windows 7 to begin with, then you can just perform another clean install.

It's not like a Resource CD is going to fry your hardware. Browse Community. Turn on suggestions. M17x R3, no internet drivers? Please Help! Labels 4. There are known issues with integrated audio not working with the m in a m17x r3. But some people found a work around in the link below. Integrated sound card working I don't think you were supposed to uninstall IDT drivers but just disable it before you swap cards. Re-enable it after cards are swapped.

If you haven't done it yet, I'll advise you to swap back to your old card and see if IDT drivers will install. Then it's just a matter of disabling it in Bios and perhaps in windows as well before cards are swapped back again. Then Re-enable it. Worth a shot I soppose. I'm desperate at this point. I'll try that tomarrow. So tired of staring at this screen.

The post does say After a bit of troubleshooting it seems there is an easy fix for that. I just booted into Windows safe mode F8. So he was at least able to install the IDT drivers after the new card was installed. I'll still try putting the old card back in and trying but it doesn't seem right.

No need to put the old card back unless it's a hz model. Just start it up without a dGPU at all and it will work fine on the intel. MickyD , Feb 11, It is the hz model unfortunately.

I haven't gotten to switch cards yet. At work until later today. Gotta pay for all these computer parts somhow lol.
